About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our Public Health and Recovery Solutions team. This role is pivotal in improving the lives of individuals with complex needs, including those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, and domestic abuse. You will work closely with service users who may also face additional challenges such as mental health issues, reoffending behavior, or physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Management: Coordinate and manage a caseload of service users with multiple needs, helping them access the support they require.
* Client Engagement: Assess and engage with individuals who may find it difficult to navigate or maintain contact with specialist services.
* Interventions: Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, including motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques.
* Collaboration: Work effectively with various agencies and the service user's personal support network to develop and implement personalized, strength-based plans.
* Risk Management: Identify and assess risks in collaboration with the service user and other professionals, using your professional judgment and team processes.
* Support & Advocacy: Provide persistent support and advocacy, ensuring that service users can achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
* Crisis Response: Respond rapidly to crises, ensuring continuity and effectiveness in service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience working with vulnerable and complex service users.
* Strong knowledge of homelessness, substance misuse, and domestic abuse legislation, guidance, and policies.
* Experience in delivering creative and effective evidence-based interventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with partners.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* A commitment to working within a trauma-informed framework and understanding the impact of trauma on service users.
Qualifications:
* Math and English GCSE or equivalent (Essential).
* Educated to degree level or equivalent (Desirable).
* Vocational qualifications in substance misuse, domestic abuse, or homelessness (Desirable).
* Full UK driving license with access to own transport (Essential)
