Are you a passionate ecologist looking to make a real impact on the environment? Join a renowned international multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy as a Consultant Ecologist in their expanding London Ecology team. This is your chance to be at the forefront of diverse projects that span the regeneration, property, transport, and public sectors across the UK.

As a SeniorEcologist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable solutions for a variety of high-profile projects. Your work will go beyond just compliance; you'll be enhancing the natural environment through thoughtful planning and execution. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the achievement of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) standards and ensuring that ecological considerations are seamlessly integrated into project designs.

What You'll Do

  • Ecological Surveys & Assessments: Lead and conduct surveys, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure ecological compliance.
  • Project Diversity: Engage in projects across regeneration, property, transport, and public sectors, providing expert ecological advice.
  • Technical Expertise: Prepare and review technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and BNG assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other regional teams, traveling as necessary to deliver cohesive, multi-regional solutions.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 1-4 years in ecological consultancy or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of UK ecological legislation, planning policies, and experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Skills: Proficiency in ecological surveys, technical report writing, and BNG assessments.
  • Qualifications: A degree in Ecology or a related field, with CIEEM membership preferred. A full UK driving licence is required, and holding a protected species licence is a plus.
