My client in the Chadderton area of Manchester are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with Switchgear experience.

The rolev is working for a UK manufacturing company concerned with producing leading technology protection relays and medium voltage circuit breakers often employed in highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base.

Switchgear Electrical Engineer

This is an excellent role for an experienced industrial Electrical Engineer familiar with producing construction drawings for electrical panel wiring. You are ideally from a switchgear background and will have a key position within the engineering team.
The task is to help design bespoke medium voltage circuit breakers for the replacement of ageing original equipment.

As such, your role is to interpret existing 'as built' drawings and replace key components as part of our product offer, redrawing the schematic and issuing build instructions for the shop floor, overseeing the correct execution.

Required Candidate Skills:
Able to drive AutoCAD or Solidworks electrical
Proficient in electrical 3-ph power systems and its components
Familiarity of ANSI protection coding
Liaising with clients and suppliers
Interact across the business along with mechanical design, assembly and test personnel
Hands on experience in wiring industrial control panels and systems to EN 60204
Ability to read, interpret and produce electrical wiring schematics
HND/BEng in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplined.
Be a problem solver and a team player
Able to multitask across several projects
