Depot Manager required. Our client has specialised in the Waste management for over 35 years and is now looking for a Depot Manager to join the team due to the growth of the business. This will be running the Barnsley/ West Midlands Vehicles depot.

Successful candidates will be responsible for all on site activities, organisation of a fleet of trade waste and hook lift collection vehicles as well as the operation of the transfer facility ensuring continuity and day to day running of the operations on the site. Candidates will also ensure that the site is operated in accordance with the site environmental permit, current legislation and regulatory compliance.

Depot Manager Position Overview

Financial P&L responsibility
Monitoring staff performance
Booking and organization plant / HGV maintenance and inspections and reactive vehicle maintenance in response to break downs
Ensure daily continuity of staffing, plant, HGV's and equipment to maintain the uninterrupted operation of the facility and service to our trade waste customers.
Ensure that the relevant Health and Safety rules are adhered to and proactively maintain the company expectation and aspirations on Health, Safety, welfare and compliance with support from the internal Compliance team.

Depot Manager Position Requirements

Experience in Waste Operation transfer and handling and bulking operations in a supervisor or management role.
Understanding of cost control and P&L experience is also advantageous.
CoTC/WAMITAB to level 4 is required (or be prepared to work towards certification with support from the business).
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings/training/site visits is a pre-requisite.
FLT license and shovel operation experience advantageous.

Depot Manager Position Remuneration

Salary: £35,000- £40,000
Working hours: 40 hours a week, flexible between 0600 and 1800 hrs Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as and when required.
