Job Title: Financial Accountant

Pay: €60,000-€65,000 (Depending on experience)

A leading commodity trading organization with a global presence, are offering the opportunity a Financial Accountant to join on a 12-month FTC and make a significant impact on their Finance Team.
Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the Finance Team, focusing on physical-related companies and profit centres. You will be responsible for overseeing various financial aspects, including multi-currency transactions, intercompany accounting, statutory accounting, and stock management control. Your expertise will contribute to the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of their financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile multi-currency transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee intercompany accounting processes, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Lead statutory accounting activities, including preparation of financial statements, compliance with relevant accounting standards, and liaison with external auditors.
- Implement and maintain robust stock management controls to optimize inventory management and minimize financial risk.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Work as a senior member of the Accounting Team, help with training and assistance of junior Accountants
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in financial accounting roles, preferably within commodity trading or related industries.
- Strong understanding of multi-currency accounting principles and practices.
- Expertise in intercompany accounting processes and consolidation techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining stock management controls.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Navision is advantageous.
The role is hybrid (3 days in the Dublin office) with a salary up to €60-65k depending on experience. Wider package includes bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, etc.
