About the Role

An established and growing transport and logistics operation is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Hartlepool. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to play a key role in the efficient planning of fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and optimise transport routes to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.

* Coordinate drivers and vehicles to ensure smooth operations.

* Monitor deliveries to ensure they are completed on time and in line with customer expectations.

* Liaise with customers and suppliers, resolving any transport-related issues.

* Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and company policies.

* Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet performance and scheduling.

* Work collaboratively with operations teams to improve service levels.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in transport planning

* Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think under pressure.

* Proficiency in TMS software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

* A team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
