Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee a variety of high-profile projects across Essex and London. The projects include commercial office fit-outs, school developments, residential flats, and retail units, with contract values ranging from £650,000 to £4.5 million. This role offers the chance to work with a well-established company that is known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage projects from the initial tender stage through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for appointing and managing sub-contractors, negotiating packages, and building detailed project budgets to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also be tasked with producing comprehensive labour programmes, procurement schedules, and material buying lists to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources for the project.

Another key aspect of the role involves ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the project schedule. You will regularly monitor progress and address any day-to-day site issues, ensuring that the work complies with safety regulations and technical specifications. You will liaise with specialist contractors when required to resolve problems on-site.

You will also be responsible for producing and updating RAMS, issuing relevant permits, delivering daily briefings, and managing toolbox talks to ensure site safety and compliance. Close collaboration with the main contractor will be essential to monitor progress, raise design concerns, and manage variations effectively. Additionally, you will produce weekly progress reports and submit valuations for sub-contractor payments. You will also oversee commissioning activities and ensure that all required documentation is completed for project handover.

The ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and negotiate with various stakeholders is essential. Strong organizational skills are required, as you will be managing multiple projects simultaneously. A thorough understanding of technical specifications, health and safety regulations, and industry standards is crucial. The ideal candidate will also be proactive, with excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise on-site.

Why Join Us?
