A leading media group are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their Group Finance team for 12 - 15 months. This role will support the implementation of financial accounting and reporting agenda across all regions, with key responsibilities split between Financial Accounting and Reporting, External Audit, Technical Advice and Finance Team Development.

You will lead in the Group consolidation of statutory accounts and annual report, oversee the consolidation and reporting of the Group's financial accounts and ensure consolidation journals are supported for audit. You will perform monthly reviews and ensure they are compliant with IFRS and Group accounting policies and will focus on improving compliance by leading the development of new reporting formats, analytical tools and reviewing new IFRS requirements. You will lead in the development of new accounting policies, working with the Group to ensure a robust financial accounting and reporting control environment is maintained. You will lead the Group audit process, working with the external audit team and also provide technical accounting advice across the business where required. You will coach and develop the finance team, ensuring a high performing function.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / CAANZ qualified from a Big 4 practice with 5 - 10 years PQE. You will have experience working within a PLC and an offshore finance shared service centre whilst possessing excellent understanding of control requirements for a global company. You must have experience in consolidated accounts and have strong technical accounting knowledge. Previous experience in the Media sector is desirable.
