Westwood Recruitment are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our clients dynamic team supporting high-profile industrial projects. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with expertise in electrical engineering, industrial plant projects, and safety regulations within a COMAH Tier 1 process manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the execution of assigned electrical projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

* Develop fit-for-purpose engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

* Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.

* Support project managers in defining programs, budgets, and reporting on project performance.

* Coordinate design processes and ensure input from stakeholders, including customers, operations, and suppliers.

* Manage procurement and expedition of equipment, including review and approval of technical specifications.

* Facilitate technical and project reviews, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and operational requirements.

* Oversee construction, commissioning, and handover of projects, including training and documentation.

* Ensure all work aligns with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) standards and company policies.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications:

* Degree / HND in Electrical Engineering (required).

* HSEQ qualification (e.g., IOSH) (required).

* Preferred qualifications include:

* Project Management Certification (Level 4 Project Control / Management).

* CompEx Certification (ExF, Ex01-04, Ex05-06, Ex12B & 12B for Design & Project Engineers).

* Functional Safety (IEC61508 - TUV or equivalent).

* Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G2391, C&G2392, C&G2394, C&G2395).

* BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations (C&G#removed#).

* Electrical Switching and CDM regulations knowledge.

Experience & Knowledge:

* Minimum five years of experience in an equivalent role.

* Strong background in industrial sector engineering and high-voltage electrical switching.

* Experience in COMAH Tier 1 Process Manufacturing Environments.

* Familiarity with functional safety, ATEX directives, and the Electricity at Work Regulations.

* Knowledge of project delivery lifecycles, engineering design processes, and commercial project management.

* Strong IT skills, including MS Office, drafting tools, and engineering databases.

* Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
