VH Talent, is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading engineering organisation to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager, to oversee all commercial and customer activities. Operating as the Voice of the Customer, the successful candidate will play an instrumental role and be the link between the company's customer-base and internal departments, to ensure an exceptional service is delivered and programmes are achieved within contractual agreements.

The Commercial Manager Role:

* Oversee and manage projects within the business and be the primary contact for all customers

* Report into the Director of Programme Management to ensure department and wider business goals are achieved

* Assist in preparing proposals, generating business plans, work statements and specifications. Manage budgets and liaise with customers to outline cost and schedule requirements to ensure sales and profit targets are achieved

* Oversee Programme and Project Managers throughout the entire life-cycle to ensure targets and customer satisfaction is achieved

* Present to customers and Senior Stakeholders, providing regular updates and actions required to fulfil project(s)

* Analysis of existing product portfolio, ensuring continued financial health whilst strategically identifying opportunities to improve profitability and growth

* Support contract negotiations and lead scope changes post contract award, including revised pricing structures for expiring long term contracts and annual price lists.

* Increasing revenue through further business opportunities and new innovative manufacturing technology projects by collaborating with the Engineering and Business Development teams.

You'll Need:

* Previous experience of project or programme management within an engineering or aerospace environment

* Excellent leaderships skills with the ability to guide, influence and manage cross-functional teams

* Strategic planning, analysing and evaluating to implement and drive projects

* Able to build robust relationships with customers, suppliers and internal personnel

* Excellent negotiation skills and able to present in a clear and concise manner

* Commercially astute and good financial understanding

* Highly organised, detail orientated and able to work on multiple projects, ensuring to meet deadlines

* Problem solving skills and a solution provider

* Proficient in Microsoft packages
