Working Hours: 4 on/ 4 off - Days & Nights

Stonegate Farmers Ltd have an opening for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Egg Innovation Centre. As one of our Maintenance Engineers, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising electrical, automation and industrial systems across our production and wider site facilities. You will underpin the production operations within our cooked egg facility; conducting both planned and reactive maintenance whilst championing health, safety & quality.

As a Maintenance Engineer at Stonegate, you will also be offered support/funding for training and courses, in line with business requirements.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly to breakdowns and give feedback to production regarding expected downtime and planned corrective actions

* Conduct planned preventative maintenance and other equipment servicing

* Troubleshoot PLC fault codes and identify external faults through software

* Completing all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready

* Work closely with engineering and production teams to develop a positive attitude that is understanding of the challenges of a busy 24/7 production facility

* Complying with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely

* Undergo training, building a comprehensive knowledge of our specialist equipment

* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements

* To be actively involved in suggestions and solutions to improve efficiency of plant and equipment at the site.

Person Specification:

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Skilled at efficiently interfacing with stakeholders of various levels

* Attention to detail

* Proactive in approach

* Computer literate in MS office package

Qualifications / Experience:

* City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

* Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing engineering equipment, particularly process and production lines

* Strong understanding of PLC control systems - Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens & Mitsubishi

* Experience with and ability to use a CMMS system.

* Knowledge of pasteurisers and steam boilers (desirable)
