Head of Food Technology - Waltham Forest (January 2025 Start)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and passionate Head of Food Technology for our client, a highly reputable all-girls secondary school based in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity starting in January 2025.

Job Role Requirements:

Deliver engaging and innovative Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Lead and manage the Food Technology department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
Monitor student progress and provide tailored support to enable them to achieve their full potential.
Maintain an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment that fosters a love for food technology.
Collaborate with other department heads to support cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Food Technology.
Proven experience in teaching Food Technology at secondary level, preferably with leadership experience.
Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for inspiring students in food technology.
Ability to lead and motivate a team of teachers within the department.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to continuous professional development and the desire to make a positive impact in a dynamic school environment.
