Operating within the Transformation Programme, the Training & Development Manager will lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building the competency of the Technical Directorate. By working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Understand the skills and competencies required to meet current needs.
- Facilitate discussions to explore capabilities needed to support the organisation's strategic direction.
You will set the standard for training excellence by designing and executing a robust Training & Development Strategy, adopting innovative practices to inspire, engage, and inform employees while paving the way for long-term training management.
Key Responsibilities
Identify the Need- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of short, mid, and long-term training needs, aligning with HPC's evolving landscape.
Make an Impact- Design, implement, and manage a high-impact training strategy to support organisational growth and operational excellence.
Build a Future-Ready Workforce- Establish a competency framework for employee growth, succession planning, and personal development.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to identify and prepare employees through upskilling initiatives.
Adopt Targeted and Innovative Techniques- Tailor training approaches to meet diverse learning needs and styles using e-learning platforms and innovative tools.
Deliver Through Collaboration- Develop engaging training products with subject matter experts and interfacing organisations.
- Oversee material compilation, coordinate inputs, ensure cohesive messaging, and drive timely preparation.
Lead and Facilitate- Conduct workshops, presentations, and team-building activities to deeply understand organisational needs.
Ensure Compliance- Work with technical teams and HR to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Measure Success- Define success metrics, evaluate the impact of training initiatives, and adjust strategies based on insights.
Empower Others- Develop frameworks and toolkits for teams to create and deliver their training.
- Identify and mentor suitable individuals in each functional area.
Qualifications
Education:- Degree in relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills to assess competency gaps, forecast future needs, and design targeted solutions.
- Familiarity with training needs analysis frameworks is preferred.
- Knowledge of project requirements and regulatory baseline competencies.
- Experience & Skills:
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful training strategies for technical organisations.
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience delivering technical and soft-skill training, including leadership development.
