Company: COBALT RECRUITMENT

Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum

Are you a confident and customer-focused Building Manager ready to take the lead on a prestigious commercial asset in the heart of Manchester?

Cobalt is proud to be partnering with a leading Managing Agent in their search for a Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a landmark building that plays host to a range of high-profile, blue-chip occupiers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established on-site team where service delivery and occupier experience are at the forefront. You'll need to bring strong leadership skills and a meticulous eye for detail, as this role also involves supporting on-site events and creating a premium environment for tenants and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all hard and soft service delivery across the building, ensuring compliance and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Build strong relationships with occupiers, service partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain a best-in-class customer experience.

  • Work closely with the Events and Marketing team to support and host regular on-site occupier events.

  • Manage budgets, service charge, and contractor performance with a proactive and strategic approach.

  • Lead and inspire the on-site team, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar Building Manager or Facilities Manager role, ideally within a commercial multi-let office environment.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.

  • Experience managing service charge budgets and working with external service providers.

  • A confident, polished communicator who can work closely with senior stakeholders and blue-chip clients.

  • IOSH/NEBOSH and a good understanding of H&S compliance.

This is a rare chance to take the reins on one of Manchester's most prestigious buildings and work with a high-performing team in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
