Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) - Band 7 to join our Urgent Treatment Centre / Minor Injuries team. The ideal candidate will be confident in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and discharging patients independently, while working alongside GPs to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Autonomous Patient Care - Assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge or refer patients independently, without reference to a doctor.
Clinical Leadership - Manage a nursing team, including appraisals, training, rotas, recruitment, and student supervision. Independent Prescribing - Essential for experienced EPs.
Quality & Compliance - Support audits, ensure infection prevention control, and uphold high standards of care.
Teaching & Training - Participate in the departmental teaching programme and mentor junior staff in key clinical skills such as plastering, suturing, and patient streaming.
Service Development - Work with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Practitioner to respond to complaints and enhance patient pathways.
Professional Growth - Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery.

Ideal Candidate:
