Social Worker - Adolescent and Exploitation Team

Location: Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Stockton-on-Tees

They are seeking dedicated and passionate Social Workers to join their Adolescent and Exploitation Team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adolescents within our community.

As a Social Worker in our Adolescent and Exploitation Team, you will be at the forefront of supporting young people who are at risk of or experiencing exploitation. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to develop and implement robust safeguarding plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of the adolescents in our care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of adolescents at risk of exploitation.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to young people and their families to address issues of exploitation and promote positive outcomes.
  • Work closely with schools, health services, and law enforcement to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Participate in case conferences, strategy meetings, and other multi-agency forums as required.
  • Advocate on behalf of young people to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with adolescents, ideally within the context of exploitation or safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to develop effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
