Harper May is exclusively partnering with a leading property and construction company poised for rapid growth and expansion. At the forefront of the industry, the company is seeking an ambitious Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic vision and establishing its position as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure the company achieves its objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives and engage with investors to secure necessary financial backing.
  • Oversee and mentor the finance team, ensuring effective development and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Board to shape the strategic vision, including financial forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive the identification and development of new business opportunities to fuel the company's expansion.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance procedures are in place and maintained.
  • Provide the Board with accurate operating budgets, working closely to ensure pragmatic success.
  • Oversee all fiscal activities, including revenue/expense management and balance sheet reports.
  • Monitor and manage banking activities to optimise cash flow and financial stability.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly reports, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
  • Review and manage the Group’s tax position, calculations, and filings.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in leading and developing finance functions within high-growth environments.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior leadership, investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with precision and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional Excel skills and advanced financial modelling capabilities.
