About the role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH to join our dedicated team. As an SEN TA, you will play a critical role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, working with children across Key Stages 1 and 2. You'll work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure that each child receives the individualised attention they need. Your dedication will enable students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, helping to create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children who have SEMH or other special needs.
• Ability to create and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging atmosphere.
• A relevant qualification in teaching assistance or special education (desirable but not essential).
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEMH needs in their academic and social development.
• Assist the class teacher in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and tailored strategies for student support.
• Monitor and record student progress, adapting strategies as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to provide holistic support for each child.
