We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for an Estimator based in the North West to join one of the regions leading fitout contractors that have sites nationwide.

Projects are almost entirely fitout of commercial properties including retails stores, bars and restaurants. However occasionally, the projects may include construction of the building as well before fitting them out.

The salary is negotiable and dependant on experience. The salary starts in the region of £50,000 and for someone experienced, will comfortably reach the £60,000 region with the ability to stretch a little higher for the right candidate. This also comes with a car allowance on top so can stretch the package that bit further too.

Job Role:

* Perform Site Surveys of potential projects to ensure accurate estimating

* Leading in take-off, compiling bills and tender comparisons

* Work alongside project/contract managers to ensure they have a strong understanding of the costs being proposed

* Project cost analysis, appraisal, and budgeting

* Review and appraise quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and compliance

* Prepare and present tender proposals/reviews to the Senior Leadership Team prior to submission

* Identify value engineering opportunities to maintain competitive quotes

* Project Forecasting and scenario planning

* Monitoring working practices, budgets, and reporting lack of compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience as an estimator within a fitout background

* Proficiency in estimation software and strong analytical skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a team as well as on your own

* Must be able to work well as part of a team, as well as performing to a high standard as an individual

* Strong time management skills to ensure you meet agreed deadlines
