Overview:
We are working in partnership with an award-winning Tier 1 building contractor to recruit a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship £70m+ school build project in the Cardiff area.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the overall delivery of a £70m new build school project from inception to completion

*

Manage and coordinate a large project team, including site managers, engineers, planners, and commercial staff

*

Report directly to the Regional Operations Director

*

Oversee health & safety, quality, programme, and commercial performance

*

Build strong relationships with the client, consultants, and supply chain

*

Ensure timely delivery to the highest standards, within budget and programme

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering complex new build schemes (ideally £30m+)

*

Background in main contracting - Tier 1 contractor experience preferred

*

Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills

*

Track record of successfully delivering education or public sector projects is advantageous

*

Relevant construction qualifications and certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
