This position will see you managing new projects order placement through to full production to meet the customer's delivery schedules and quality requirements.
Key Aspects of the role include :-
- Providing technically sound engineering solutions
- Ensuring delivery to cost, to timescale and to quality standards
- Resolving potential problems or issues
- Acting as point of contact for customers whilst contract is being delivered
- Manage variations to ensure continued profitability
- Preparing and managing acccurate timelines and progress reports for all aspect of each project
- Working with production to ensure availability of resources
- Working with procurement to ensure materials supply
The Project Engineer sits as part of the customer engineering delivery team and is customer facing, and may be required to visit customer sites away from Sheffield and South Yorkshire as contracts are being delivered.
About You
- Ideally apprentice trained in welding, fabrication, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or similar
- Experience of working as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Technically minded but with a commercial understanding
- A problem solver
