We have an exciting opportunity to join the engineering fleet control team based at one of our automotive client sites in Gaydon, Lighthorne Heath.
This team has the overall responsibility for the planning/use/disposal of circa 1500 vehicles within the engineering department, including prototype test vehicles, pool and support vehicles.
You will be responsible for supporting the day to day activities within the Disposals Compound, by liaising with both internal and external customers to provide an exceptional service and ensure the smooth operational running of the Disposals Compound.
The successful candidate will need to have good overall vehicle knowledge & relevant qualifications, and would need to be extremely organised with the ability to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision. You'll also need to have excellent communication skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office as well as a solid understanding of Vehicle EV systems.
You must also possess a clean, valid full UK Drivers Licence.
It would also be advantageous for the successful candidate to have an engineering background, with experience of using Fleet management systems, using / driving forklift trucks and telehandlers as well as towing large trailers.
Key Responsibilities
* Document / Photograph / Evidence preparation of Vehicles for disposal
* Removal of Camo from vehicles
* Removal & Storage of parts from End-of-Life Vehicles for resale and recycling
* Manage stock lists / inventory of parts removed for loose part sale
* Telehandler & Forklift Truck support for loading / unloading within Disposals compound
* General Telehandler & Forklift Truck support for Gaydon site as required
* Driving Tow Car / Trailer to recover vehicles from site
* Cover for Disposals Compound Supervisor when out of office
Supporting Tasks
* Transfer Vehicles onto disposal fleets
* Management of tracking documents for vehicles / parts being processed
* Triage of Vehicles to understand condition and de-prep requirements
* De-prep job cards for End-of-Life Vehicles
* Witness of scrapping at off site locations
* Workshop / Facility upkeep & maintenance
* Interacting with customers to support their parts requests needs
The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a basic DBS criminal record check.
