We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager of Children’s Residential Care to open a new home for children and young people in the Croydon. You’ll be supported by dedicated owners who have a background in working with children and young people with complex learning disabilities and are dedicated to creating a wonderful service that can deliver brilliant outcomes for the young people they support.
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Manager who wants to gain valuable experience in getting a new service established and add new strings to their bow. Work on getting the home set up is well underway, they’re ready to recruit a Registered Manager and apply to Ofsted for registration and start the process of recruiting a team.
On offer for the Registered Manager is a salary of £50,000 - £75,000 dependent on experience and qualifications, plus yearly bons based upon performance, and the potential of career development as they open a further home in the future.
As a Registered Manager you’ll be responsible for;
- Delivering care that is focussed on ensuring that each child in the home can thrive
- Assessment and evaluation of new referrals and managing a smooth transition into the home
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, national care standards and Local Authority requirements.
- Quality Assurance
- Responsible for Safeguarding and Child protection
- Develop quality assurance systems
- Deliver effective leadership to the staff team, that promotes a positive culture of open practise
- Ensuring the staff rota is effective
What we’re looking for;
- It is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you have experience of being a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager of a Children’s Home previously. Manager who can demonstrate a sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations
- Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties , and ideally learning disabilities.
- You’ll demonstrate a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements
- At least 2 years management experience in a children’s residential setting, within the last 5 years.
- QCF level 5 or equivalent in Leadership and Management for Social care (Children and Young People) or be willingness to complete this within 1st year of employment
