The company operates as a principal contractor, but they have inhouse teams for specialised works and design & Build. Project values typically range between £100,000 to £5 million and they turnover around £20 million.

The Role - Estimator

Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team in Hertfordshire working on a range of fit out and refurbishment schemes in Healthcare, Leisure, Pharmaceutical and Commercial sectors.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Analyze project requirements, including plans, specifications, and scope of work, to develop accurate cost estimates

* Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for labor, materials, and services

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for various construction projects, considering all relevant cost factors

* Review and analyze vendor and subcontractor proposals to determine cost competitiveness and accuracy

* Assist in developing pricing strategies and value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets

* Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost-related matters and assist in making informed decisions

* Maintain a structured database of historical project cost data for reference and future estimation accuracy

* Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and cost factors affecting construction
