Our school caters to children aged 6 to 16, and we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive. The Role:We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND ASC Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work with students across both primary and secondary age groups, delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with ASC.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide holistic support.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with children with ASC.
  • Ability to teach across both primary and secondary age ranges.
  • Strong understanding of SEND best practices and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
