As the Technical Sales Manager you will not only spearhead sales initiatives but also mentor and guide a dedicated sales team. The key responsibilities of the Technical Sales Manager role include:

1. Sales Leadership: Drive sales performance by developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.

2. Team Management: Mentor and manage a small sales team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.

3. Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, leveraging insights to inform sales strategies.

5. Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of product capabilities to clients, ensuring they understand how solutions can meet their specific needs.

6. Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement

Requirements

1. Experience: A proven track record in technical sales, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sectors, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

2. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

3. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of grippers, clamps workholding solutions, linear motion or similar technical products, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.

5. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in market analysis and strategic planning to identify opportunities and potential challenges in the sales landscape.

6. Education: A degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred, though significant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
