We are looking for a Digital Engagement Lead (DEL) to join the Commmunications team, reporting to the Communications Manager within the People and Culture Directorate.

The DEL's principal focus will be on gathering, commissioning and creating digital content (such as photos, videos, graphics, blogs, articles and other copy) that supports internal and external engagement, and helps build a strong storytelling culture as part of our People Strategy.

You will build up and manage a digital content library that will feed into internal and external communications activities (intranet, website, social media, print journal, newsletter, recruitment) as well as general corporate communications (reports, accounts).

A large part of your role will be to generate content through site visits (including lighthouses, ships and depots) by joining our operational teams and maintaining strong working relations with colleagues from across the organisation's various teams (at sea and on shore, across locations in Harwich, London, Swansea and St Just). Join them in the course of their duties to capture photos, videos and stories that record and promote what we do as a General Lighthouse Authority and maritime charity.

Given the location of the stations, you may spend significant time away from home, working and living in close proximity of your work colleagues. This, coupled with the physical nature of the duties involved, calls for appropriate levels of health and fitness. Modes of transport can be a combination of road transport, boat and helicopter.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications, skills and experience.

Skills and experience
High interpersonal skills
High literacy
DSLR photography
Video editing
Desktop publishing (Adobe InDesign training is available)
Familiarity with using WYSIWYG web interfaces for editing and content management
Driving licence (desirable, not essential)

Qualifications
Bachelor-level graduate qualification that demonstrates high literacy
