Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Controller to lead financial management and reporting operations. The role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure financial accuracy, optimize processes, and drive improvements in financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the balance sheet and profit and loss (P&L) accounts.
- Manage tax matters, including monthly VAT returns and corporate tax, and act as the point of contact with tax authorities.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting.
- Develop and implement a Manual of Procedures, identifying key risks and proposing mitigation controls.
- Analyze financial performance trends and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with the Group finance team and individual company finance teams to review financial information and forecasts.
- Provide recommendations for cost reduction and financial performance enhancement.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal payroll controls to prevent errors and fraud.
- Build and manage a team of finance and administration personnel to support financial operations.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP and SAGE ERP systems is advantageous.
- Experience in managing payroll and implementing related controls.
- Stakeholder and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail with a proactive and strategic mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably including audit experience with a Big 4 firm.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven track record of financial management and reporting in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
