Road freight Branch manager required for a freight forwarder in Manchester. This role will be road freight based however will also oversee the small warehouse facilities onsite and the customs clearance department on site as well. The site managers road freight, most is gate to gate road freight forwarding however a small amount is gate to the warehouse for short-term holding of stock. This role is a monday to friday position, daytime hours. Manage a team of around 10. Road freight manager / Freight forwarding branch manager salary £45-55k.

The role
As a road freight forwarding branch, you will manage the team of road freight forwarders, inhouse customs coordinator and warehouse coordinator/administrator. The team is around 10 strong within the branch, mainly focused on the office however they do have a small holding warehouse as well. You will manage the team, ensure the branch runs smoothly, ensure the H&S is all followed, and ensure the deadlines are all met. This role will include all the normal road freight branch manager duties.

Experience
we are looking for a road freight forwarding branch manager who has a road freight background, you will be able to manage a small team, you will have a freight forwarding background and a basic knowledge of customs and warehouse (this is not essential, as training can be given, most important is road freight)
