Salary: £230 - £300 per day

This role seeks a proactive Facilities Manager to lead in maintaining the daily operations of facilities within a public sector organisation. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing facilities management policies and procedures, as well as managing the function.

Our client is a respected public sector organisation based in Brighton, employing over 200 people across the UK.

Description

As a Facilities Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Facilities Management team to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Develop and implement Facilities Management policies and procedures.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to maximise value for money.
  • Coordinate Continuity Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of facilities.
  • Coordinate space planning and manage office moves.
  • Prepare and manage the budget forecast and management for all services.
  • Manage team performance
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives within the organisation.

Profile

A successful Facilities Manager should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management or a related field - BIFM Member Grade or above
  • NEBOSH knowledge of Health & Safety legislation & statutory requirements.
  • Change management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience
