Job Opportunity: Finance Support EngineerA global insurance provider is seeking a skilled Finance Support Engineer to join their London office. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing financial applications while ensuring alignment with finance product objectives.Responsibilities:- Support, document, and enhance Phinsys applications (Tandem Data Warehouse, Inform, Rapport, Comply, Postbox).- Manage configuration changes and package releases.- Maintain documentation and implement monitoring systems.- Perform system testing and quality assurance.- Collaborate with the Finance Product Owner.Essential Experience:- Proficient in SQL Server and SQL Server Analysis Services.- Strong in data warehousing, SQL, ETL, performance tuning, UI design, and testing.- Familiar with DevOps, BI concepts, and data modelling.- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.- Ability to stay updated on BI tools and data trends.Desirable Experience:- Knowledge of insurance, accounting (GAAP), financial reporting, and Lloyd's market.- Familiarity with Phinsys products and S2000.- DBA exposure.Skills:- Essential:- SQL, MDX, and SQL-based stored procedures.- Experience with SDLC, Git, and writing documentation.- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.- Desirable:- Phinsys development environment experience.- Power BI report and semantic model development.If you're a proactive problem-solver with a focus on high-quality solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
