About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is excited to offer an opportunity for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Manchester starting in January 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, perfect for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

What You'll Be Doing:

Providing tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with varying SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, ensuring all children can thrive and achieve their potential.
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) to help children progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils to help them overcome challenges.
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create a nurturing and structured environment.

What Were Looking For:

Were searching for a dedicated individual with:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach to supporting young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and engagement with children and staff.
A strong desire to help children grow, succeed, and feel valued in their learning environment.

Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
Be able to provide two professional references covering the last 2 years.
Have up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided).
