SALARY: £48,160 - £53,760 per annum + Benefits (see below)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Night Shift Working 18:00 - 06:00 on a 223 Shift Pattern

JOB OVERVIEW

A well-established and expanding family-owned, food and farming business based in Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, East Midlands has a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical and Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician who is self-motivated and flexible with a "can do" attitude and demonstrable electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

Working as an Electrical and Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician you will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering services and technical support to the business, with focus on reducing downtime proactively using the sites PM software.

As an Electrical and Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician you will overlook the execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements for a company that package fresh, whole head vegetables for wholesale and high-street retailers.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Electrical and Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer / Plant Technician will include:

• Execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements

• Provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime

• Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance

• Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required

• Continually drive towards a PPM culture

• Assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team

• Provision of a first-class engineering service

• Provide daily progress updates to the Site Engineering Lead

• Work together with internal and external teams

• Comply with all health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards

• Communicate effectively with engineering stores, on parts used, to maintain the restock cycle

• Work alongside production with a "one team" mindset

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Time served apprenticeship

• Electrical qualification from a recognised body is essential

• Mechanical qualification from a recognised body is essential

• NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent

• Electrical fault-finding skills

• Logic Control experience (desirable)

• A can-do attitude

• Self-motivated and flexible

• Have a right first-time approach

• Effective communication skills
