Account Executive - Commercial Insurance

Role Overview:

I am working with my client - a highly acquisitive private equity backed insurance broker who are looking for a Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join their team. You will be responsible for strategically overseeing and managing client relationships within the commercial insurance sector. Your primary objective will be to ensure client satisfaction while advocating for and promoting their insurance products.

Please note this role can only accept candidates with Insurance Account Executive experience and with full right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Oversee and manage client relationships strategically.
    • Ensure client satisfaction and advocate for insurance products.
    • Inherit and cultivate an existing book of business.
    • Proactively engage clients to foster growth and maintain strong relationships.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and leverage new opportunities within the general commercial insurance sector.
    • Collaborate closely with Broking & Claims professionals to ensure comprehensive client management.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a profound understanding of commercial insurance policies, risk management, and compliance responsibilities.
    • Deliver effective presentations on topics related to the Commercial Insurance Industry.
  • Innovation and Creativity:
    • Utilise innovative and creative approaches to secure new business.
    • Contribute to the overall success of the team through strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork within the organisation.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Experience:
    • Extensive experience within the commercial insurance sector.
    • Demonstrated ability in client relationship management and business development.
  • Technical and Compliance Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge of insurance commercial policies and risk management.
    • Understanding of compliance responsibilities within the insurance industry.
  • Presentation Skills:
    • Ability to deliver compelling and informative presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Innovative Mindset:
    • Creativity and innovation in securing new business and solving problems.
  • Organisational Skills:
    • Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications:
    • ACII qualified or working towards ACII qualification.
  • Experience:
    • Around 4/-5 years minimum experience within a relevant Account Executive role
    • Familiarity with Acturis software is highly desirable but not required.
