Greenwellgleeson are working with a profitable and growing business based in Tamworth to recruit a Finance Manager.The Business is looking for a reliable experienced Accounts Lead to join their growing team, this is a hands-on role, and you will take the lead ensuring the efficient running of this department. You will oversee the day-to-day transactions ensure postings across the ledgers are correct and in a timely manner, whilst supporting the production of the management accounts and group reporting returns.Responsibilities:Management of all aspects of the nominal ledgerReview of the entries made by the bookkeeperDirect Debit Management and Nominal Cashbook PostingsReconciliation of SupplierGenerating supplier payments for Director ApprovalReconciliation of banks GBP & Currency and invoice discounting accountsCalculation and posting of accruals and prepaymentsUpdating and maintaining the fixed asset registerAnalysis of overheads expenditureCover and support others within the finance department to ensure deadlines are metVAT returns and VAT account reconciliationsIntercompany Reporting and reconciliationsCredit Referencing for Customers and maintain credit limits / checksSupporting the year-end accounts preparationOversee and participate in annual onsite AuditVarious other ad-hoc accounting duties as requiredRequirements:AAT Level 4 Qualified or equivalent gained from working in similar industrial settingsAnalytical with strong attention to detailStrong excel skillsExperience of working to tight deadlinesAbility to guide employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being usedA solid understanding of accounting principlesSage / equivalent accounts package experienceDesirablePayroll experienceGreenwell Gleeson Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
