Job: Senior Engineer - Highways
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £45,000-£55,000
Are you an experienced Senior Engineer with a background in highways and infrastructure?
We have an exciting opportunity in Middlesbrough with a leading civil engineering contractor, offering a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000.
Key Responsibilities:
·Managing engineering activities for Section 278 (S278) works and highways projects, ensuring technical specifications are met.
·Supporting the Site Agent and project teams with the coordination and execution of site operations.
·Conducting site surveys, reviewing designs, and providing technical advice to ensure project success.
·Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
·Monitoring progress, quality, and ensuring timely project delivery.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in highways and S278 works.
·Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
·Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
·SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
·Ability to liaise with site teams, project managers, and external stakeholders.
·TWC (Temporary Works Coordinator) certification would be an advantage but not essential.
·Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field.
