Role Overview for a Cover Supervisor:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining learning continuity by supervising lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Your primary responsibility is to ensure students remain engaged with pre-set work while managing classroom behavior effectively.

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects.
Maintain classroom control and ensure students stay on task.
Uphold school policies and manage student behavior effectively.
Provide feedback on student progress to teaching staff.
Support students with their learning where necessary.
Assist with general school duties as required.

What We're Looking For:

Confidence in leading a classroom environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
A positive and professional approach.

Requirements:

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Math.
A degree or classroom experience is desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
