An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a well established FMCG Manufacturing business based in Hull but with sites across the UK and internationally. The successful Finance Manager will get to be involved in Business Partner type competencies, working on Capex and pricing projects.

As the Finance Manager, you will report to the Factory Manager as well as the Head of Finance in their London offices and be responsible for;

• Manage all aspects of finance and financial planning across the site including full ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

• Ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial reports to Group, in-line will policies set out by the Group on taxation, depreciation, provisions and annual/monthly financial accounts.

• Producing management reporting on the performance of the site, which provides insight into the performance of the individual areas highlighting opportunities to drive improved operational performance

• Provide financial analysis to support all key decisions, including but not limited to capital investments, costings, pricing recommendation and working capital requirements

• Manage and monitor working capital across the business to ensure financially optimised stock levels to meet customer demand, minimising over-due trade debtors and ensuring trade creditors are paid to terms.

• Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, working with department heads to ensure realistic but challenging targets are set to maximise profits and return on capital employed.

• Supervising the factory office administrative staff in their day-to-day

• Reviewing processes for reporting so as to reduce timescales & deliver improved analysis.

• Ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place and adhered to, and the role will act as the main point of contact for all financial audits at the site

• As required, work with the core ERP team to support the planned implementation of a single ERP system

To be the successful Finance Manager, you will have;

* Ideally ACMA Qualified with proven experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience of management analysis & reporting of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow

• Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for turning data into analysis & insight

• Prepared to have a hands-on approach, and supports others through discussion and coaching

• Strong influencer, with the confidence to manage/challenge Stakeholders where necessary

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand key business performance drivers.

• Experience of management accounting, including budgets and forecasts within a manufacturing environment.

• Positive 'can do' attitude, comfortable working under pressure and at pace; and is continuously looking to drive improvements.

• Flexibility and can work with a degree of ambiguity from shifting business priorities.
