eDV Cleared Elastic Engineer- up to £700 a day - Outside IR35 - London - 12 Month Contract

I am currently looking for an experienced Platforms Engineer, with strengths within the ElasticSearch stack on a contract basis. You must have active eDV clearance and be willing to work onsite in London up to 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• ECE Support & Maintenance: Manage, monitor, and optimise Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) environments, ensuring high performance and security.
• Solution Design & Deployment: Develop scalable Elastic solutions for Observability and Search, translating requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security practices, maintain data protection standards, and conduct regular security audits.
• Performance Optimisation: Analyse and improve Elasticsearch performance, implementing best practices for indexing and shard management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams, providing expert support and maintaining essential documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with Elasticsearch advancements, leading initiatives for automation and new technology integration.

Qualifications:

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field; 3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch (including ECE); strong understanding of Elastic architecture; expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Skills: Proficiency in Scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Ansible), knowledge of security standards (GDPR, HIPAA), and container orchestration experience (eg, Kubernetes).
• Preferred: Elasticsearch Certification, experience with Elastic Stack components, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
