Our client
Our well established client who cover residential warranties and also building control services are now looking to expand their team and are seeking a Building Control Manager.
Main Purpose
* Directs and coordinates the internal structure of a national building control service
* implementing company policies and achieving company goals and objectives to ensure a competent and compliant working environment and that quality standards are consistently met. T
* To ensure the efficient day to day management of a Building Control Team.
* Oversees the Building Control team to ensure inspection and plan checking service delivery targets and quality levels are consistently met.
Responsibilities
* Undertake professional development reviews and carrying out regular assessment of the Building Control Team
* Ensuring professional staff along with technical trainees/graduates/associates and apprentices are working on projects for which they have appropriate levels of skill and experience
* Able demonstrate a competent understanding whilst having the necessary ability, knowledge, and skill to complete the role successfully
Good communication skills both verbal and written with appropriate interpersonal skill
* Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload
* Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with established policies and procedure
* Knowledge of environmental issues and relevant standards/legislation
* IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs
