About the role:

SEN TA: We're seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support Reception-aged children with challenging behaviours. This full-time, long-term role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with behavioural strategies, and creating an inclusive classroom environment.

Application Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience: Previous experience supporting young children with SEN (preferably ASD) is essential.
• Skills: Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and creating a nurturing learning environment.
• Commitment: A passion for inclusive education and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities for an SEN TA:

• Assist the teacher in delivering an engaging curriculum tailored to students with SEN.
• Provide individual support for pupils with behavioural challenges, fostering their confidence and self-esteem.
• Implement strategies to help children develop essential social and communication skills.
• Monitor and report on student progress to the teacher and SENCO.
• Support a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment.
