Assistive Solutions specialises in supporting individuals eligible for Disabled Students' Allowances within higher education.

We are a Social Enterprise that works with disabled people, providing specialist computer equipment, 1-1 teaching and have an in-house software development team.

Key Aspects of the Role:

Supplier Management:

Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
Examine and test existing contracts.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance and maintain a preferred supplier register.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure clarity of supply and expectations of the company.
Agree and keep a running record of rebate agreements with suppliers, where applicable.Team Management:

Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
Manage team performance, ensuring that the team is achieving KPIs and performing optimally.
Ensure that probation and annual reviews are conducted, in line with company policy.
Be the point of contact for all team members, helping facilitate conflict resolution or HR queries, as needed.
Ensure that the procurement, logistics and packing sub-teams are working cohesively, for the good of the company.Stock Management:

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Ordering DSA software, ensuring stock levels are aligned with predicted requirements.
Ensuring equipment stock levels are aligned with predicted requirements.
Ensuring that the team uses a cohesive approach to purchasing, working efficiently and in sync.
Running of a quarterly stock-take programme, with a key focus on reduci8ng variance and minimising stock loss.
Ensure that the warehouse is effectively managed with stock being regularly worked.
Ensure that dispatch levels are maintained and align with policy.Stakeholder Engagement:

Attend regular procurement meetings for both Assistive Solutions and Study Tech.
Protect the interests of the company in all instances.
Be the point of escalation for communication with suppliers over the phone and email regarding delivery dates, order details and any returns.
Be the point of escalation for resolving invoice queries and obtaining invoices as needed.
Ensure that the relevant teams are updated with delivery exceptions so that they can effectively manage their customers.Inventory System Management:

Setting up of new products with all relevant data.
Archiving obsolete products where possible.
Review sales order and ensure product is ordered as needed.
Review sales order and ensure delivery status is updated as needed.CRM Management:

Ensure products are effectively maintained using the traffic light systems, at all times.
Ensure that the product catalogue doesn't expand too much, ensuring a balance between Assessor requests and company policy.
Ensure that all products in the catalogue have the relevant product codes associated.About you:

Experience within a procurement role (Essential)
Experience Managing People (Desired)
Experience Managing Stock and with Stock Control (Desired)
Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills
Knowledge of procurement software and tools
