Building Safety Manager

South East London - Hybrid

Up to £60,000 Depending on experience

Winner recruitment are working with a fantastic client in the public sector who are looking for a Building Safety Manager for their buildings in South East London. Our client strives to go above and beyond and supports their staff in their development.

Our client is offering a excellent package with additional benefits and in return would love to find a candidate who is conscientious, detailed and passionate within the Fire Safety sector. The ideal candidate will have a background within building management and maintenance and understand the compliance within the built estate environment.

You role and responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for conducting inspections and risk assessments across your buildings around South East London and implementing safety protocols
  • You will ensure that all buildings are safe and compliant and dealing with deficiencies across the buildings within your patch
  • Liaising with other management such as Contract Managers, Asset Managers and other Safety Managers supporting where necessary
  • Conducting regular meetings with tenants and attending tenant meetings to discuss area for concerns
  • You will be the 'go to’ person for your buildings for escalations around fire safety
  • You will ensure that all contractors on site and projects fall in line with fire safety and manage risk
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and keeping up to date with new safety standards and legislation
  • Deliver any in house training to other internal safety around fire safety when needed sharing knowledge

Requirements

  • You will hold a level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent and other qualifications such as CIOB in building safety
  • You will have previous experience in a similar role ideally working on residential building and hire rises
  • Experience within the Facilities Management or social housing sector highly desirable
  • You will demonstrate a passion for fire safety with a eye for detail
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with contractors and trades and tenants
