Assistant Financial Controller| Worksop| to £38,000 | Office based
 
We are currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing SME. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the business.

This role offers a variety of day-to-day tasks, but a significant part of the role will involve project work focusing on improving efficiencies within the finance team and across the wider business.  If you're looking for a role where you can make your mark and really make a difference, this is it!

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified (AAT/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent), with at least 3 years of working within a Finance department.  The company will offer study support to assist with you becoming qualified.

Some of the Key Responsibilities…

You will be responsible for preparing the month-end journals and other month-end procedures
You will be responsible for reconciling the balance sheet
Assist with month and year-end reporting to stakeholders
Assist with the preparation of board packs
You will work closely with external accountants on tax and audit requirements
Look at ways to improve processes and streamline
Act as number 2 to the Financial Controller 
 
Who the client is looking for….

Ideally you will be Part Qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years in Finance
Have the desire to look at processes with a view to improving and streamlining them
Have a can-do attitude and a desire to complete Accountancy studies
Experience of Sage 200 and Excel
