Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including commercial, retail, residential, and industrial buildings. As a senior member of the team, you will lead projects ranging from small-scale to £150 million, and provide guidance to junior team members.

Responsibilities

Lead on projects of varying scales, providing structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
Produce high quality technical reports including structural surveys, analysis, and design using software packages such as Tekla Structural Design and Fastrak Building Designer
Lead and mentor junior members of the design team, providing guidance and support as needed
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, using your expertise in Eurocodes and other relevant codes
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Chartered or working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural analysis, design, and software utilization
Proven experience in the use of Eurocodes and other relevant design codes

Day-to-day

Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop efficient and cost-effective structural designs
Conducting site visits and liaising with clients to understand project requirements
Using your expertise in structural engineering to provide input into the planning and execution of projects
Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and technological advancements to ensure the delivery of high-quality and innovative solutions
