Trainee or experienced Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilder who has experience of using hand and power tools, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team is required for a busy vehicle bodywork company based in Bristol, South West England.

ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED - SKILLED, SEMI-SKILLED AND TRAINEE LEVEL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Skilled workers from other trades who are willing to retrain will also be considered.

Previous commercial vehicle bodywork experience would be great. But not essential.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilderwho has experience of using hand and power tools, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working as the Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilder you will join an existing team and will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, utilising your expertise to build new commercial vehicle bodies.

Previous commercial vehicle bodywork experience would be great but not essential, providing you have a solid background in the use of hand a power tools.

As the Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilder you will need to be a team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and preferably work with a range of materials.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilderinclude:

  • Fabricate and assemble vehicle components, including chassis, body panels, and structural elements
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and alignment
  • Select appropriate materials for each project, considering factors such as strength, durability, and aesthetics
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards and client expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices for quality production methods

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with automotive assembly techniques and components (Desirable)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
