Due to recent project successes, we're recruiting for a specialist contractor known for their leadership in providing complete solutions for overhead line electrifications in the rail industry. They hold Principal Contractor status and offer subcontracting services to various rail sector clients, making them a key player in the industry.

As part of their growth, they are hiring a HSQE Advisor for their operations team on a permanent basis in North Lanarkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company experiencing significant expansion. You will work alongside an established team to maintain high health, safety, environment, and quality standards during project construction phases.

Responsibilities:

Foster a robust health, safety, environment, and quality culture across leadership teams.
Provide accurate data and reports on legislative requirements and best practice policies.
Ensure adherence to company procedures by facilitating necessary resources for team members, including communication, training, evaluations, and competency assessments.
Collaborate with the division manager to identify areas for development and present improvement strategies to senior management.
Conduct investigations as necessary, delivering timely and precise reports.
Support the behavioural safety and culture change programme.
Requirements:

Background in a civil engineering environment; rail industry experience preferred but not essential.
2-4 years' experience in a health and safety advisor role.
NEBOSH certificate as a minimum requirement.
Experience collaborating with leadership teams to implement H&S procedural changes.
Advocate for high health and safety standards across all operations.
Full UK driving licence.
Forward-thinking approach to health and safety culture.
Willingness to travel across sites in Scotland.
