Learning Mentor - About the Role

As a Learning Mentor in this Primary School, you will provide vital support to a Key Stage 1 class, working closely with pupils who may require additional help to engage positively with their learning and peers. This role involves both 1:1 and small group interventions, focusing on developing academic skills, building confidence, and supporting social-emotional well-being.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Building positive relationships with pupils to foster trust and engagement.

* Supporting individual learning plans and delivering targeted interventions.

* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop self-regulation skills.

* Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and families to ensure consistency in support.

* Monitoring and celebrating progress while adapting strategies as needed.
