Hours: 40 hours per weekPlease note that our client DOES NOT offer Tier 2 sponsorship. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's committed team, providing high-quality care to patients in an acute inpatient mental health setting.
This role is vital in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, alongside a genuine passion for improving the lives of those in their care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, promoting recovery and well-being.
Qualifications: - RMN qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin.
- Proven experience in a mental health hospital or acute inpatient care setting, with a deep understanding of mental health conditions and evidence-based treatments.
- Strong knowledge of current mental health legislation and best practices in patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to patient care, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and supportive.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that they reflect the needs and preferences of each patient.
- Administer medications as prescribed and closely monitor their effects on patients, documenting any changes in condition or side effects.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to promote patients' mental well-being, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with family members and caregivers to provide education and support, ensuring they are involved in the care process and understand the patient's needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions and engaging in reflective practice to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
