LGV Driver/Street Sweeper

Salary: £13.76 per hour plus Veolia Benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week - 07:00am until 15:30 Monday to Friday
Location: Wiggenhall, Watford

What will you be doing?

• Support the delivery of the Street and Park cleansing and maintenance services, ensuring the delivery of customer focused high quality services in line with the council expectations.
  
• Drive a vehicle up to 7.5tonnes and operate a mechanical broom, training will be provided.
  
• Collect & sweep up litter and detritus either manually, by driving mechanical broom or controlling pedestrian operated mechanised plant and equipment.
  
• Removing weeds, wastes and animal deposits and emptying/collecting litter.
  
• Undertake any daily maintenance and cleansing of any plant and equipment used.
  
• To be polite and considerate to the public, internal and external customers at all times.
  
• To ensure that all accidents that occur during shift hours are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager or the police if appropriate and that accident reports are completed before you leave work.
  

What are we looking for?

• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
  
• 7.5 tonne licence - essential.
  
• Previous experience in a similar role.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and the general public.
  
• Knowledge of Health & Saftey legislation.
  
• Ability to work on your own & within a team.
  
• A reliable and punctual person.
